MMI History  Russian Expatriate communities

After his graduation from the Law School of the Institute Igor Arkhipov worked with the Military Public Prosecutor's Office in Moscow and Yalta (Ukraine) for six years (1986-1992). He retired from military service in 1992 and for a short period of time joined a regional commodities Exchange (South Crimean Exchange) in the Crimean Peninsula (Ukraine) as lawyer. Shortly thereafter he founded (with a partner) a real estate business in the Crimea – South Crimean Real Estate Agency, Ltd.

Igor Arkhipov relocated to the US in 1993. In 1998 he graduated from Georgia State University (Atlanta, Georgia) with a Master's in Business Administration degree, majoring in international business.

Igor Arkhipov is currently working for Mirasco, Inc., international trade company, as international business and trade consultant. He also participates in projects with the Atlanta-based Prabina Capital, Inc., providing opportunities for entrepreneurial companies from former Soviet Union to gain access to American financial markets. He has real estate and mortgage broker licenses in the State of Georgia.

Igor Arkhipov co-authored a book that was published in the US in August of 2000. The book titled “Doing Business in Russia. Corporate Counsel’s Guide to Doing Business in Russia” was written together with Georgia State University Professor Kenneth Catchaw and deals with a plethora of business-related legislation in that transition economy. The book is targeted at international law experts whose responsibilities may include legal support of corporate operations in Russia.
