Art (Artyom) Shvetsov worked as instructor of Greek Language with an army unit in Moscow, Russia, during 1985-1992. After getting discharged from the army in 1992 (was discharged as captain) he worked with a small business in Moscow as Project Manager (setting up joint ventures in Greece) until 1994.

In 1994-1995 he was Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program is a professional development and educational program for mid-career professionals from all over the world for one year of non-degree studies in the US. It is sponsored by the US Congress with core support coming from the US State Department, and administered by the Institute for International Education. Certificates for the Fellowship Program completion are issued by the US President (B. Clinton in this case).

In 1995-1997 he studied at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) and earned a degree of Master of Science in Management. During these years he also was Graduate Assistant with the Department of Economics and Finance of the College of Administrative Science at UAH.

In 1999 he enrolled at Athens State University in Athens, AL. During his time there in addition to (previously learned) several human languages he mastered the following computer languages: Ada, C++, Pascal, Visual Basic, COBOL, Visual G. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in May of 2001, and became software engineer with a medical applications company in Birmingham, AL, during the same month. He is currently involved in developing software with Oracle databases at the core.
