Russian Expatriate communities
After his graduation from the Law School of the
Institute Igor
Arkhipov worked with the Military Public Prosecutor's Office in
Moscow and Yalta (Ukraine) for six years (1986-1992). He retired from military
service in 1992 and for a short period of time joined a regional commodities
Exchange (South Crimean Exchange) in the Crimean Peninsula (Ukraine) as lawyer.
Shortly thereafter he founded (with a partner) a real estate business in the
Crimea – South Crimean Real Estate Agency, Ltd.
Igor Arkhipov relocated to the US in 1993. In 1998 he graduated from Georgia
State University (Atlanta, Georgia) with a Master's in Business Administration
degree, majoring in international business.
Igor Arkhipov is currently working for Mirasco, Inc., international trade
company, as international business and trade consultant. He also participates in
projects with the Atlanta-based Prabina Capital, Inc., providing opportunities
for entrepreneurial companies from former Soviet Union to gain access to
American financial markets. He has real estate and mortgage broker licenses in
the State of Georgia.
Igor Arkhipov co-authored a book that was published in the US in August of 2000.
The book titled “Doing Business in Russia. Corporate Counsel’s Guide to
Doing Business in Russia” was written together with Georgia State University
Professor Kenneth Catchaw and deals with a plethora of business-related
legislation in that transition economy. The book is targeted at international
law experts whose responsibilities may include legal support of corporate
operations in Russia.
